About Mothers Against Addiction (MAA):

Mothers Against Addiction is seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Marketing Outreach Specialist to help expand awareness of our mission, engage with communities, and develop outreach strategies. This volunteer role will focus on marketing initiatives, social media engagement, and community outreach to connect with families affected by addiction and promote our support services.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Outreach

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness of Mothers Against Addiction.
  • Create engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and community newsletters.
  • Assist with branding efforts to ensure consistency across all outreach materials.
  • Promote events, workshops, and resources to expand community engagement.

Community Engagement & Advocacy

  • Build relationships with local organizations, treatment centers, and advocacy groups.
  • Distribute informational materials and resources to key community stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at community events, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns.
  • Help develop partnerships with businesses and community leaders to increase support.

Social Media & Digital Outreach

  • Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Engage with followers by responding to messages, comments, and inquiries.
  • Monitor analytics to track engagement and improve outreach strategies.
  • Support website updates and blog content creation as needed.

Event Promotion & Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising and awareness events.
  • Help coordinate promotional materials, press releases, and event outreach.
  • Work with other volunteers to ensure successful event participation and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Passion for the mission of Mothers Against Addiction and a desire to make a difference.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in marketing, social media, or public relations (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with Canva, social media scheduling tools, or basic graphic design (a plus).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
