About Mothers Against Addiction (MAA)

Mothers Against Addiction is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mothers and families affected by addiction. We provide resources, emotional support, and advocacy to empower families in overcoming the challenges of addiction. Our vision is to create a compassionate community for healing and hope.

We are currently seeking a volunteer Director of Operations to oversee and optimize our operational activities, ensuring the seamless execution of our mission. This remote, part-time position is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful impact in the fight against addiction while bringing their organizational leadership skills to a critical cause.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
    ○ Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure effective delivery of programs and services.
    ○ Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Team Support:
    ○ Coordinate with volunteer teams and department leads to ensure alignment with MAA’s mission and goals.
    ○ Provide operational guidance and support to enhance team productivity.
  • Strategic Planning:
    ○ Collaborate with leadership to plan and implement strategic initiatives.
    ○ Identify opportunities to improve processes and expand MAA’s reach.
  • Technology and Systems:
    ○ Manage and optimize remote collaboration tools, databases, and systems.
    ○ Ensure effective communication and project management across teams.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    ○ Ensure adherence to non-profit compliance standards and best practices.
    ○ Assist in tracking performance metrics and preparing reports for the leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations, project management, or non-profit leadership.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience managing remote teams and familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Trello, Google Workspace).
  • Passion for MAA’s mission and commitment to supporting families impacted by addiction.
  • Ability to dedicate 10-15 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
