About Mothers Against Addiction (MAA)

Mothers Against Addiction is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mothers and families impacted by addiction. Through resources, advocacy, and emotional support, we aim to foster healing, hope, and recovery.

We are seeking a talented Mobile App Designer to help conceptualize and design a mobile application that connects and supports our community. This volunteer role is ideal for a creative and skilled designer passionate about using their talents to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • App Design and Prototyping:
    ○ Design intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces for MAA’s mobile app.
    ○ Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to guide the development process.
  • User-Centered Approach:
    ○ Ensure the app design meets the needs of users, focusing on accessibility and user-friendly navigation.
    ○ Gather feedback from stakeholders and potential users to refine the design.
  • Collaboration:
    ○ Work closely with developers, designers, and the leadership team to align design elements with project goals.
    ○ Contribute ideas for features that enhance the app’s functionality and user experience.
  • Brand Alignment:
    ○ Ensure the app’s design reflects MAA’s brand identity and mission.
    ○ Maintain consistency in visual elements across the app’s interface.
  • Accessibility and Responsiveness:
    ○ Design mobile-friendly and responsive interfaces that work seamlessly across various devices and screen sizes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in mobile app design for iOS, Android, or both.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and responsive designs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for MAA’s mission and a commitment to supporting families affected by addiction.
  • Availability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week on a flexible schedule
