About Mothers Against Addiction (MAA)

Mothers Against Addiction is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mothers and families impacted by addiction. We empower families to heal and rebuild their lives through resources, advocacy, and emotional support.

We are looking for a UI Designer to help improve our website and digital tools, ensuring a user-friendly experience that effectively communicates our mission. This volunteer, part-time role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled designer to use their expertise to make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • User Interface Design:
    ○ Create intuitive, visually appealing UI designs for MAA’s website and digital platforms.
    ○ Enhance existing designs to improve user experience and engagement.
  • Prototyping and Mockups:
    ○ Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to showcase design ideas and improvements.
    ○ Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Collaboration and Feedback:
    ○ Work with the web development and communications teams to align UI designs with organizational goals.
    ○ Incorporate feedback from team members and end users to refine designs.
  • Accessibility and Optimization:
    ○ Ensure all designs follow accessibility best practices for inclusivity.
    ○ Optimize UI elements for both desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Brand Consistency:
    ○ Maintain and expand MAA’s visual brand identity across all digital interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Experience in UI design for websites or digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and responsive designs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for MAA’s mission and a commitment to supporting families affected by addiction.
  • Availability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
