About Mothers Against Addiction (MAA)

Mothers Against Addiction is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting mothers and families impacted by addiction. Through advocacy, emotional support, and educational resources, we empower families to navigate the challenges of addiction recovery with hope and resilience.

We are looking for a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team and help us communicate our mission through impactful videos. This part-time, remote volunteer role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling through video and making a positive difference in the lives of families affected by addiction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Video Editing:
    ○ Edit video content for social media, events, and campaigns, ensuring high quality and engagement.
    ○ Add graphics, subtitles, and music to enhance video storytelling.
  • Content Creation:
    ○ Work with the team to repurpose existing footage into compelling videos.
    ○ Assist in creating short clips, testimonials, and promotional videos that align with MAA’s mission.
  • Creative Collaboration:
    ○ Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to align video content with organizational goals.
    ○ Provide creative input to improve the overall quality and impact of video projects.
  • Platform Optimization:
    ○ Format and optimize videos for various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and website use.
    ○ Stay updated on platform-specific video trends and best practices.
  • File Management:
    ○ Organize and maintain a library of video assets for easy access and future use.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects) is a plus.
  • Strong storytelling and editing skills, with attention to pacing and detail.
  • Experience creating video content for social media platforms is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Passion for MAA’s mission and commitment to supporting families impacted by addiction.
  • Ability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
